Possible to turn off notifications about various activity?

...like someone's latest Bejeweled Blitz high score, what group they joined, who their new friend is, who they became a fan of etc. etc. all this incidental minutiae that just clogs the page. I found you can click on game notifications - Mafia Wars, Farmville etc. and turn them off, but not these various other things.

Those things should not be showing up in your notifications.

Are you taking about your news feed?

Explain yourself,

You say you get lots of notifications of what your friends have done?

Then clik at the Notifications button at right bottom. Click "See All". Then, at the right, you'll see what applications you've authorized. Tick the ones that you are interested in gettting notifications.

Probably. The stuff that shows up on the main screen - all the icons and "so and so has just become a fan/likes whatever..'

And that's another thing, I'm not really clear what's the deal with "live" and "news" feed.

The live feed is at the Homepage top, you can whether activate it or not.

Deactivate it and then you won't get so many news.

Go to Home--> View News Feed (Not live Feed)
