Fan Permission to Notes & Discussions on FB Page

Hi there

I have a Facebook Fan Page for my company and I would like to encourage our Fans to contribute things like articles, movie and book reviews. I thought I would be able to do this on the "Notes" Tab, but it seems that only the Page Administrator (ie me!) can start a new 'note'.

So, I have 2 questions;

1. is it possible to give fans posting permission to 'notes'
   
2. if 'no' to above, is there an application that allows this kind of interaction?
   

I would also like to know how I can give fans permission to start discussion topics.

Hello there,

1. Go to Edit Page--> Notes--> Application setting. Check "allow"

To start discussion topics..
Edit page--> Discussions Boards--> Application settings (add both)
Then every fan will be able to start a new discussion topic

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my query, but I don't really understand your answer (as simple as it looks). Please take a look at the attached image and you may have idea as to my confusion! The suggestions you make, don't seem to appear in my 'application settings'. Do have any further ideas as to where I'm going astray?

Oops, forget to attach the image...

I'll explain them again,

To allow your users to post notes, go to your fan's page. Then, under the photo there's a text that says "Edit page"
Then you go to Notes--> Application setting. Check "allow"

To start discussion topics..
Again in the Edit page (the text under your photo in the fan's page)--> Discussions Boards--> Application settings (add both)

What you'rew doing wrong is that you don't have to go to Permissions, you have to go to "Profile" once you've clicked either Notes or Discussions

They're activated. Are you saying that your users cannot post notes/discussions?

I've just done a double check and my fans can now start a discussion , but still cannot add their own notes - any ideas? If it helps you to see it, this is our fan page - Focus on the Family Australia.

I've done a little research and I realized you cannot allow fans to write notes. Only the admins can.

And I think there's no other application like Notes you can add to your page
